Representative Crane understands the importance of secure borders and has worked throughout his tenure to reverse the consequences of open‑border policies. In the 118th Congress, he helped draft and pass articles of impeachment against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and played a key role in advancing H.R. 2, the House’s signature border‑security bill.
Following President Trump’s return to office, Rep. Crane worked with the administration to advance the strongest border‑security investment in U.S. history. Using the reconciliation process, the bill funds wall completion, hires thousands of additional agents, and upgrades critical surveillance and detection technology. He has also introduced legislation to reform the H‑1B visa system and remains firmly opposed to mass amnesty.
As a representative from a border state, Rep. Crane fully supports removing individuals who are unlawfully present in the country, stopping the flow of dangerous narcotics, and strengthening deterrence to prevent future border invasions.
