Resources and Updates for Arizonans Impacted by Severe Flooding

Last weekend, historic rainfall caused severe flooding across Arizona. Lives were lost, homes and infrastructure were damaged, and many Arizonans were forced to evacuate. Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) is in frequent contact with federal, state, Tribal, and local officials regarding ongoing recovery efforts and assistance.

Constituents impacted by this disaster are encouraged to visit the Arizona Emergency Information Network’s November 2026 Storms page for official updates and safety guidance. Please see below for county-specific resources:

Since the storms, Rep. Crane and his staff have been on the ground to survey damage and receive the latest information. From Prescott to Kayenta, his team has met with law enforcement, first responders, and community leaders. Rep. Crane is also communicating with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Cameron Hamilton, Tribal leadership, and the office of Governor Katie Hobbs.

Federal engagement has already begun with FEMA, the Federal Highway Administration, and land management agencies such as the U.S. Forest Service. Much of FEMA’s disaster assistance requires a major disaster declaration under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act. Only a Governor or a Tribal Chief Executive can request this declaration, and the President decides whether to grant it. Members of Congress cannot initiate this process. At this stage, damage assessments remain underway, and no request has been submitted. Rep. Crane is coordinating with partners and will use the tools at his disposal to advocate for future requests.

In the meantime, constituents are welcome to reach out to Rep. Crane’s team with questions about the process, where to find current assistance, or anything else related to the flooding. The Prescott District Office can be reached at (928) 286-5338 and the D.C. Office at (202) 225-3361. While staff cannot override an agency’s decision or guarantee a specific outcome, they are available to point residents in the right direction and provide timely updates.

“The recent floods have displaced residents, damaged critical infrastructure, and tragically claimed lives. My team and I extend our deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones, as well as to everyone affected by these storms. I ask all Arizonans to join us in praying for them,” said Rep. Crane. “Now is the time to help our neighbors as we clean up and rebuild. We will continue working with our federal, state, Tribal, and local partners to pursue all available assistance. If a major disaster declaration is requested, I will press for its swift approval. Although this recovery will take time, I know we will come back stronger than before.”
